Arizona: Anita Street Market, Tucson
The best way to take the tastiness of a burrito up a notch is with homemade tortillas. Anita Street Market does just that, using homemade flour tortillas in the signature carne asada burritos and smaller, masa tortillas for the tacos. This taco shop tends to have more tortilla than filling, but the tortillas are so good that it doesn’t matter.
“Doesn't get any better than this when you’re looking for fresh tortillas, burritos, empanadas and more! Hard to find but worth the effort! Tucson hidden Gem!” - Yelper Tommy T.

Most of the plates are large, so expect to split something or have epic leftovers to take home.
"Great find. The queso and guacamole are fresh and tasty. The tamales are as good as they get — fresh, tasty and hot. The fajitas are some of the most tender I've had in a long time. The sauces are made to perfection and complement the dish.” - Yelper Deb G.

I've had the pozole (cured my hangover immediately), the chico burrito with asada or carnitas (perfect size for me), and the sopes (all the kind I've had were so great). I got two birria tacos with rice and beans and a margarita, my husband got the birria burrito, and our daughter got the kids' hot dog and nuggets. We also got queso and guacamole. Everything was so delicious, but my favorites were the rice and beans. Honestly could have made a meal out of that. The margarita was off the chain, too. All of this cost less than $50. That's crazy! Normally, when we order food, at least one of us is like, meh. Not with this place. Everyone loved the food. My only complaint is we didn't get enough chips to last for our queso and guacamole leftovers, but we will ask for extra next time.” - Yelper Shelbie J.

Mississippi: Burrito Zone & Tamales, D'Iberville
Burrito Zone doesn’t have a ton of frills, but that’s a good thing. The food tastes more like it was made with love in someone’s kitchen, not in an assembly line — especially the tamales, which are AH-MAZING!
“They reel you in with the "Chipotle" style line, but their tamales really get you with the homemade feel. Their chicken tamales were green chile and really hit the spot for me as I was visiting Biloxi for Thanksgiving. They have lots of options (although they didn't have al pastor when I went, which I was really looking forward to), large and clean area, great service, and not too far from hotels and main shopping areas. Washington: Los Agaves, Seattle
Pike Place Market is hard to miss when you’re visiting Seattle, but it’s not just a tourist destination. The market is filled with family-owned businesses, including Los Agaves. Admittedly, there are dozens of food options in the market, including addictive miniature donuts and seafood that can’t get any fresher, but Los Agaves easily holds its own. The tortillas are handmade, and the food is as flavorful as it comes.
“It took some laps around the market to find this place but SO WORTH IT! Best breakfast burrito I've EVER had. I'm from Las Vegas, and this place tops anything I've had back home. If you are a fan of traditional Mexican food, you have to come here.” - Yelper Christopher H.

Wisconsin: Café Corazón, Milwaukee
Café Corazón, with three Milwaukee locations, knows how to deliver in the wet burrito department. After you pick between beef, pork, chorizo, chicken and shrimp, you can expect staff to pile on beans, rice, cheese, avocado and lime crema. Then it gets fun. The already-giant burrito is covered in enchilada sauce and jack cheese, with a drizzle of more lime crema as a finishing touch.
“Their margaritas are great and strong (for me, a light weight, but maybe for others, too?) and I love their soy chorizo tacos. Also a good idea to start with chips, salsa and guacamole. It's so cozy and welcoming, but go on the earlier side as they usually have a wait since it's tight quarters. Their brunch is also fantastic.” - Yelper Ellie B.

It’s not exactly cheap, but the portions are reasonable for the price, and the simple menu items are a welcome break from all the fancy resort food nearby. No pretenses and not much ambiance — just really, really good burritos.
“This little gem may lack atmosphere, but the food makes up for it. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. A little higher priced than a typical Mexican restaurant; however, this is Jackson! Would definitely recommend this to anyone.” - Yelper Angela M.
